| Adayalam (2003) The functional advertising and political propaganda painted on any available flat wall in Kerala (India) form the palate for this new set of images. Adayalam takes the adornment from these often degrading surfaces to a new artistic context. Working through abstraction, the photos retain, sometimes subtle, references to location and the vibrant colour of the indiginous culture. |
